Specialising in governance and assurance, I work extensively with boards, audit committees and internal audit functions. My client work primarily covers reviewing of the effectiveness of boards and their committees, as well as risk and audit functions
I lead Independent Audit’s services advising and assessing internal audit functions. I have worked with FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, mutuals and overseas companies. My clients include HSBC, Unilever, Centrica, Rexam, The Crown Estate and British Energy.
I have authored a number of articles on internal audit and I am a regular contributor to the IIA journal, Internal Auditing, and was commissioned by them to write a series of articles on internal audit effectiveness. I also speak regularly on internal audit and audit committee topics at conferences.
I have been a partner in Independent Audit since its formation in 2003, previously being a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers. I am a Chartered Accountant and hold an MBA from London Business School.
