Senior Associate
Lisa is an Associate at Independent Audit. She has over 20 years of experience in financial services working in regulated firms, at the regulator and as a consultant and Board advisor. Lisa’s areas of expertise are in helping clients improve decision-making, control risks and improve information flows between the Board and the Executive. She is an SMCR expert, having advised numerous firms on SMCR implementation and ongoing governance and compliance as well as writing on SMCR for the financial press. Her recent board review experience includes Integrafin, Julius Baer International, MUFG and Oxbury.
Lisa previously led the governance team at Bovill Ltd, advising clients on meeting regulatory expectations on governance, SMCR, conduct, and culture. Prior to that she spent nine years at the Financial Conduct Authority. While at the regulator Lisa worked on a wide range of projects including Board Effectiveness reviews, ‘deep-dive’ governance visits, and Section 166 reviews. Lisa started her career in the investment management industry, in both London and New York. She holds a degree in Economics and Management from Oxford University.
